Santa Rita

Santa Rita has some of the most historic and diverse homes in town and is named for Santa Rita oil well. Most of these homes were built from the 1920s - 1950s in a variety of architectural styles. The typical home is pier and beam and originally built with hardwood floors. Some tend to be smaller or have additions, and others are grand in size with large lots. In this area are Santa Rita Park, Sunken Gardens and the International Water Lily Collection. Being central, Santa Rita residents have close proximity to the river, Angelo State University and downtown.
